Items of interest include three photographs, being two views on the estate and the third, a landmark on the estate, which was known as, The Haunted House. The stone ruin was the source of many tales about poor Mrs Kerbey’s ghost haunting the site after a tragic accident in c1870s. Mayor of Manly, Arthur T Keirle , purchased the site in 1909, and built a modern residence called, Fairmont, which existed until the late 1960s. A local sketch is included, showing the Manly Extension estate, Tram terminus and Ivanhoe Park, Manly. This auction was identical to that which was advertised on 30 April 1910
