Manly Warringah & Pittwater Historical Society visit the Wheeler Homestead on the southern side of Narrabeen Lagoon on 9 May 1926. James Wheeler received this land in the 1850s. James and his wife Elizabeth lived on the farm and raised their 9 surviving children here. The stone foundations were quarried from the property. James died in 1890 and was buried on the property.
