In the background, the old Ocean Street Bridge can be seen. Serving in the shop are Bruce Channon's great aunt Norma and his Auntie Pat (aged 16) Norma's husband planted the pine trees that are still there. The property on the far side of the bridge to the right belonged to the Bibb family. The Betar family purchased it in 1959 and lived there for over 50 years. Its now a block of units.
