The first meeting was in Narrabeen and then in November 1906 they moved to Sovereign Smith’s Empire Hall in Brookvale then to their purpose built building in 1912 on Pittwater Road This second shire hall built for Warringah Council in 1912 was located opposite Brookvale Oval. Originally a single storey building, the second floor and columns were added in the mid 1920s with extensions completed in 1926.
