Record numberLH000766Datec1910DescriptionWilsons Paint shop stood on Pittwater Road where the entrance to the Collaroy Surf Club car park lies today. It was the last shop at Collaroy Beach on the eastern side of Pittwater Road heading south. This shop later became a dressmaker shop run by May Fowler and her cousin Lil Kitchener. The shop was flooded twice once from the surf and once during a storm. The land was included the resumption of 17 blocks of land behind Collaroy Beach in February 1925, by Warringah Council, but demolitions did not begin straight away.
