AuthorJohn MorcombeDateDecember 2016DescriptionEstablished by The Country Women's association to provide a seaside holiday home so that country women and their children could enjoy a rare holiday while obtaining medical and dental care at little or no cost. The name Keera was chosen as it was the name of the homestead of the CWA's first president, Grace Munro.
It received its first guests in January 1924 and proved to be so popular that the building was added to in 1926 and a second storey added to Keera House in 1938. By 1955 Keera House was too small so it was sold and a two-storey guest house in Victoria Parade Manly was purchased instead. It also was given the name Keera.
