Record number63693Datec1890DescriptionFirst house built in Terrey Hills. In 1881 Samuel Hills purchased around 650 acres adjoining Obadiah Terrey's land in the southern side of Mona Vale Road. Here he built a house where he installed his wife an eight children while he continued to work as a commercial traveller. He called his land Mount Pleasant Estate.
