Terms were 10% down and the balance in 12 quarterly payments at 5% interest. A brochure publicising the auction was issued, with this extract relating to the sketch, So true it is, that from every part of Fairview the prospect must embrace some water scene. The scene captures the view down Sebastopol Street, now Sydney Road, with the ocean on one side and North Harbour to the right. The brochure also notes that the metalled roads on the estate are, examples of the energy displayed by the Municipality of Manly
