A brochure publicising the auction was issued, with this extract relating to the sketch, before him is still the noble proportions of Mr Dalley’s stately abode ..., and beyond on the heights above the eastern hills rise the columns and arches of the noble pile now being erected for educational purposes by the Papal Church, at a cost of some £100,000.
