The amusement was operated by the Bardolf family from 1904 to 1907, and a great attraction at the time, facing toward the ocean beach, and about seven minutes’ walk from Manly Wharf. The grounds were open daily from 2.30pm to 10pm, and on holidays 11am to 10pm. The amusement attracted over 18,000 visitors in its first 3 weeks. It closed in 1906 after failing attendances and was developed into the Manly Water Chute Estate subdivision in 1906
