The train was run by the Australian and NZ Railroad Co Ltd and the engine was manufactured by the Miniature Railway Co 407 Broadway New York, run by the Irish born Cagney brothers. It had three open carriages and capacity for 18 passengers. The railway was one of many different miniature railways to operate in Manly up until c1935
