The mansion, formerly known as The Lookout, at 2 Boyle Street, Balgowlah, was built around 1908 to 1909 by Augustus Knight, one of the founders of the Barrier Miner newspaper, and originally set on nearly 4 acres of land, which included a coach house and servants quarters. Over its history it served as a residence for various groups, including Camden Grammar School, before being restored as a home and sold in 2015 for the first time 70 years
