A much larger grandstand was built on the site on 9 April 1910, opened by Mayor James Bonner. Dalley's Castle, also known as Marinella, was owned by former NSW Attorney General, William Bede Dalley QC, MLC, who decided to build a Gothic Revival castle on the site. After Dalley's death in 1888, Dalley's Castle served as a residence for various groups, until being demolished in 1939.
