The length of the bridge spanned 213 metres or 700 feet, with a 5 metre vehicular roadway and two metre wide covered footpath for pedestrians. Near the centre of the structure there were two lookout boxes for pedestrians, and an 18 metre steel span for provision of small craft passing underneath
