Record numberLH010224Datec1950DescriptionView facing west across The Spit, Middle Harbour, of cars and buses, including a double decker bus and the De Soto Greyhound Scenic Tour Lines bus (?), driving across the 1924 two lane timber low level Spit Bridge, Seaforth. The covered walkway is also visible on the eastern side of the bridge. The bridge was designed by C. R. Bickford, AMIE, later chief engineer with the Maritime Services Board, and was not replaced until 1958.
