Record numberLH000160Datec 1925DescriptionBrookvale Cinema, corner of Pittwater Road and Chard Avenue, was built in 1925 by Hugo Rose. In 1930 it began to be used as a dance hall called Redonda. It was converted for "talkies" in 1933. When Alfred John Massarat purchased the property in 1940 he resurrected the cinema and then for a short time in 1961 it was used for for roller skating.
