Record numberLH010008Date c 1900sDescriptionManly Cottage Hospital, at the corner of Raglan Street and Quinton Road, was opened on 12 December 1896 by Dugald Thomson, the Member for Warringah. It was the result of a considerable fund-raising effort locally. Initially there was a staff of four, including Matron Dalrymple and Nurse Wells. It dealt with accident cases and the ‘sick poor’ of Manly.
