Frank Beckman was 23 years and 2 months at enlistment on 28th December 1915.His next of kin was his mother Annie Beckman of Waine Street, North Manly.

Frank embarked for overseas on 30th March 1916. He was wounded in action on 9th February 1917 then on 9th Junewith gun-shot wounds to the left knee and again on October 26th 1917, in France. He returned on the China on 11th June 1919 and was discharged on 26th July 1919.
