Leonard Basil Collin was born in Bega, New South Wales and was 22 years old at enlistment on 27th August 1915.Leonard Basil Collin was born in Bega, New South Wales and was 22 years old at enlistment on the 27th August 1915. Leonard was a dentist by profession and lived at Victoria Parade, Manly. He transferred from the 54th Battalion to the Australian Flying Corps on 3 May 1917, and flew with the 1st Wing AFC until the end of the war.

Leonard returned to Australia and was discharged on 11th August 1919. The photo is mis-captioned ‘Colin’.
