Percy Ingram was born at Manly in 1897. He was a carter. His mother lived at 96 Whistler Street, Manly.

He enlisted on 16 March 1916, and embarked on the Euripides on 9 September 1916. He served with the 3rd Battalion then the 17th Battalion.

He was wounded in action in France in November 1917. On 26 July 1918 he was gassed in France, and on 8 August 1918 he was reported wounded and missing in action.

Following his return to the Battalion, he was court-martialled, but the sentence was later remitted.

He returned to Australia on the Chemnitz on 7 July 1919.

After the war he lived at Harbord. Brother of William Henry Ingram.
