Norm McMullen was born at Summer Hill in 1893. He was a clerk. He enlisted on 18 October 1916, giving his father John at 53 Birkley Road, Manly, as next of kin.

He served with the ASC and 2nd AMTCoy, and was in France from April 1918. He returned to Australia on the Zealandiaon 11 May 1919.

He was a member of North Steyne SLSC.
