George Pashley was born at Manly in 1893. He was a labourer. He enlisted on 17 April 1915, giving his mother at Lidcombe as next of kin.

He embarked on 25 June 1915, and arrived at Gallipoli on 16 August 1915. He was wounded in the ankle on 22 August.

He was returned to Australia by the Euripides on 24 June 1916, and discharged from service on 7 September 1916.
