Keith Stokes was born at Molong in 1893 and was a commercial traveller. He enlisted on 15 May 1915, giving as next of kin his mother, at Victoria Parade, Manly.

He embarked on 25 June 1915, and served at Gallipoli with the 5th Field Ambulance. He was promoted to Lance-Corporal on 31 August 1916 and served latterly with the 1st Australian General Hospital from August 1918. He returned to Australia on the Shropshire on 1 April 1919. He died in 1953.
