Record number63744Date1940sDescriptionOriginally the council chambers for Warringah Shire Council were located on Pittwater Road Brookvale, where Pet Barn lies today. Warringah Shire Council was established in 1906. This building was built as a single storey structure in 1912 with the second storey added soon after. It ceased to be the Shire hall in 1973 when the new civic centre opened in Dee Why.
