In the background is Bilgola Plateau, Bushranger Hill at Newport, and Mona Vale Headland. Just above the roof of the shed is a telegraph pole on the corner of Pittwater Road and Garden Street, where the Ampol Service Station now stands. Vehicles can be seen on Pittwater Road heading south to Narrabeen. Mullet Creek which flows from Irrawong Falls then along Garden Street and under the bridge on Pittwater Road into Narrabeen Lagoon. Top left of photo shows Warriewood Wetlands which contain Swamp Sclerophyll Forest including main species Eucalyptus robusta, Casuarina glauca, and Melaleuca ericifolia. Top right shows the Lakeside Caravan Park a popular holiday spot.
