Record number41584Date1935DescriptionQueenscliff Surf Life Saving Club formed following a meetings at Warton’s Tea Rooms at Manly on 15 January 1924. Thirty people attended, and £80 was subscribed. A piece of land was acquired on the Warringah side of the lagoon, and the first clubhouse was erected. The clubhouse was opened by Andrew ‘Boy’ Charlton on 4 October 1924. The club colours were adopted as red and royal blue.A new Queenscliff Surf Club Pavilion was opened on 1 April 1939.
