Record number42468Datec1925DescriptionThe store was built in 1916 by Mr. Haigh of Crows Nest Produce Store. The first petrol pump (Shell) in the Forest stood outside. Jack Blinkhorn, the son-in-law of Mr Haigh, was the first storekeeper followed by Messrs Bates, Pitchforth, Butler and McKay. In this image Barbara Pitchforth can be seen in the side door to the Afternoon Tea Room.
